Prof. Dr. Nikolay Dimitrov, PhD
Prof. Nikolay Dimitrov Dimitrov, MD, PhD, is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of Trakia University, Department of Anatomy. He completed his higher education with a Master’s degree in Medicine in 2003 at the Faculty of Medicine in Stara Zagora.
Between 2006 and 2007, he successfully completed a course in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture under Prof. Zoya Goranova, MD, PhD. In 2006, he successfully passed an examination in Traditional Chinese Medicine with Prof. Wu Xiang, MD, PhD, and Prof. Lü Yimin, MD, PhD, at the International College of the University in Yangxi, China. In the same year (2006), he undertook specialized training in Chinese diagnostics and principles for selecting acupuncture points for treatment under Prof. Wu Xiang and Prof. Lü Yimin. In 2007, he attended specialized courses in acupuncture, auriculotherapy, and cupping therapy under Prof. Zoya Goranova. In 2009, he further specialized in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Chinese massage under Prof. Wu Xiang and Prof. Lü Yimin, and in 2013 he completed additional specialization in Traditional Chinese Medicine under Prof. Lü Yimin (herbal medicine, acupuncture, and pulse diagnosis).
In 2017, he participated in an international seminar with intensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, delivered by professors from Shanghai University (Prof. Yuelai Chen, MD, PhD; Prof. Jin Li, MD, PhD; and Prof. Lin Zhao, MD, PhD).
